Most students would likely agree that the most stressful moments occur during exam week, and the endless hours spent studying to prepare for it.While having a microdose may minimize symptoms of anxiety and stress, we will be looking at a different aspect of student life that can benefit from this practice.

Microdosing & Brain Function
One of the many benefits one can reap from this unique practice is a noticeable increase in general brain function.
To most of us, the fact that an increase in brain function encourages more efficient and successful studying is a no-brainer (pun intended).
When our brains are operating at an optimal level, studying can come more naturally and you are more likely to remember the materials you study. To be specific, microdosing may improve cognitive function.
This is a broad term that refers to the mental processes involved in the manipulation of information, acquisition of knowledge and reasoning.
Additionally, cognitive functions include the domains of perception, learning, memory and much more. Collectively, all of these are extremely important for studying.
Focus & Energy Levels
Microdosing is slightly stimulating to the brain, resulting in boosted focus and energy; the vital duo for studying!
Having a microdose in the morning can be a great way to get your brain going and dissolve unwanted brain fog that could get in the way of precious study time.
When it comes to preparing for exams, every hour matters! In fact, every minute matters! Keep in mind that having a bit of nourishing and energizing food in the morning alongside your dose is an excellent way to get your day started. If you have your dose on an empty stomach, you may experience slight over-stimulation which may become counter-productive when studying. This would defeat the whole purpose so just make sure you are being mindful about it!
Concentration & Productivity
With heightened energy and additional brain stimulation comes more concentration… With more concentration comes greater productivity! Often when we make adjustments and improvements in one area of our lives, it ripples out into another area. When it comes to studying, you need all the brainpower you can get! There is a large difference between being busy and being productive. Study time without concentration will often be busy while study time with concentration will often be productive.
This practice can offer a lot of solutions to issues and complications that come with having to study for extended periods of time. Of course, this is not a practice that will magically make you study perfectly and ace all of your exams, however, it can be a fantastic tool used to further optimize your study abilities. Let’s go over a few things to look out for when studying alongside doses.
Microdosing, Studying & Suggested Protocol
When looking at typical studying rituals and how students tend to manage themselves during periods of study, there are a lot of things to consider.
Without putting everyone into a single box, we believe it is a fair observation to say that many students have a similar studying experience. Pulling all-nighters and drinking far too much coffee is pretty standard. While discipline has its time and place, this kind of discipline can have a counter-productive effect. Here are some suggestions we can provide that can help you in getting the most out of our study time and doses.
Movement: Studying entails a lot of sitting. Make sure you are moving your body throughout the day. Our brains go into a lower state of productivity when we sit for longer than 30 minutes at a time. You may find it helpful to set an alarm even for every hour, reminding you to get up and move a bit! Not only will the movement help your brain function and blood flow, but it also forces you to take a small break, which can help you be more productive when you return to your studies. Putting too much strain on your mind and body isn’t helpful when you are relying on your brain to run smoothly.
Sleep: Get as much sleep as possible! Your brain does most of its memory-storing magic while you are asleep. The human brain is extremely active while we sleep and works very hard to restore itself. Not only does ensuring enough quality sleep at night promote longevity, but it also is essential when preparing for exams due to its huge impact on learning and memory. Do not (I repeat DO NOT) pull all-nights and microdose! This will have a damaging effect on your brain and weaken the quality of your performance.
Make sure you are getting enough quality sleep, lots of movement and nourishing food during study periods. If you are lacking in either of these things, it will result in a noticeably negative effect. Taking a microdose is not going to do all the work for you, it is simply a tool. For best results, make sure you are taking care of yourself as you will need additional care during these times to improve your chances of studying more successfully.

Day 2: Day Off
Day 3: Day Off – Back to Baseline
Repeat!
Even in micro-amounts, our bodies can grow a tolerance to psychedelics very quickly. To ensure you are getting the most out of your doses, we always suggest taking at least 1-2 days off in between.

While we need to learn more about how microdosing can specifically impact a student’s life, the reports we have thus far seem promising. As always, do your reasearch and focus on optimization as slight adjustments to the application of your doses could make or break the outcome of your microdosing experience.
